Beginner Bellydance: Designed with the "I have two left feet" dancer in mind but recommended to anyone who is new to Accalia's classes. We learn fundamental techniques for different bellydance styles, all while having fun, learning new choreography, dancing in groups, and preparing our bodies with strength and balance conditioning. Be amazed at what you can accomplish in a safe and supportive space.
Beginner II Bellydance: For dancers who have already taken Beginner Bellydance with Accalia & are ready to apply the fundamentals in new and challenging ways. Expect to play with improv group work, original choreography, traveling, layering, combos and conditioning training. Fall in love with bellydance - again - by delving deeper into creative embodiment.
Intermediate Bellydance: For dancers with a minimum of 2+ years of study of Bellydance with Accalia or an instructor with an equivalent or more advanced training background. This class is real juicy. We explore all things that push our practice to the edges of our abilities. Advanced choreographies, traveling layers, shimmies and balancing, texture play, working movement through varied levels, planes, postures, and locomotive patterns. Here, we'll dive deeper into the nuances and difference between bellydance styles. Dancers in this class understand that the challenge is the reason we're here - and deep practice becomes delicious.
