Hillary Rope Workshop Dec (US Letter).png

Rope Workshop
with Hillary Flesher

Prerequisites: Comfortable with aerial straddles/inverts and can climb to the top of the rope/silks, experience with other aerial apparatuses.

Join Prairie Circus Arts for an aerial rope workshop that will introduce you to this new apparatus offering.

In this workshop we will briefly look at a few intermediate/advanced aerial silks moves that transition nicely over to the aerial rope to understand the feel of the aerial rope and then explore new poses and transitions that flow into basic dynamics.

If you are an experienced aerial artist looking for a new challenge, this workshop might be a perfect fit.

Hillary has been training and teaching aerial rope since 2017 and is currently based at PCA teaching adult aerial silks. Aerial rope is her true aerial passion and she looks forward to sharing new skills with the community.

Strength, Stretch and Seduction with Venus Von Tramp

Friday, September 20th @ 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Age: 18+

Chair-based choreo workshop.

This workshop will start with strength conditioning and a mobility warm up before learning chair based choreography. The routine will be a beginner friendly, with lots of repetition, so we can get comfortable enough to forget about the moves and focus on tapping into, projecting, and playing with sensuality.

Aerial Silks Workshops with Victoria

Wednesday, August 14th & Thursday, August 15th

Price: $30 - $45

Junior Flowy workshop is open to 10+

Victoria, an East Coast gal now in the Prairies, teaches aerial silks in Regina, Saskatchewan. She loves skills where fabrics dance with her movements. Her teaching style focuses on exercising both the body and mind to help her students soar to great heights.

Handstands
with Leyna Shnier

Thursday, August 8th @ 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Price: $30

In this workshop you will work on a wide range of exercises designed to progress flexibility, strength, endurance, alignment and balance. The workshop will focus primarily on straight handstands, preparing to press, balance and progressions you can continue on your own.

Beginners are welcome, but you must be able to hold a handstand against a wall. Suitable exercises will be given to challenge each individual’s abilities

This intensive is for all levels dancers and flow artists, from beginner to advanced! All Hula Hoops provided, or BYO Hoop!

- Choreography with a Hoop (you can choose have choreography recorded and have access to the footage after the intensive)

DEAD OF WINTER CABARET

Prairie Circus Arts is pleased to present "The Dead of Winter" - the full cabaret experience brought directly to your home. Close your eyes and imagine a world of red curtains, stage lights, candle lit tables and we'll take you the rest of the way with an incredible cast of comedians, acrobats, contortionists and dancers!

This family friendly show embraces and embodies the crisp, cold nights of Manitoba and the landscape that created these artists- who exemplify the true hard working and "never-say-die" attitude of our province.

Prairie Circus Arts is thrilled to be able to invite you to this complimentary performance and bring a little bit of light to your home- even in the dead of winter..! The show will be live-streamed on January 30th at 7:00 PM.

Everyone knows a great cabaret has great wine and food- which is why we’re proud to have partnered with Thermea Winnipeg who is preparing a special “Cabaret for Two” prix-fixe menu for the Dead of Winter Cabaret!
